trekking to a small village outside sapa, these women followed our group, offering us a hand as we crossed creeks and things...they started gnawing on bamboo during one of our pitstops.
then, insisted we buy some junk from them after following us for hours. an annoying ploy, but ingrained in tourist-ridden areas.
